# Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy has been prepared in accordance with the obligations arising from the amendment to the Polish Telecommunications Act that entered into force on 22 March 2013. Similar obligations are implemented across Europe as a result of the transposition of the European ePrivacy Directive.
This Cookie Policy applies to the services offered within this website (the "Website"). The Website does not automatically collect any information except for information contained in cookie files.
Cookies (so-called "cookies") are IT data, in particular text files, stored on the User's end device and intended for use with the Website's web pages. Cookies typically contain the name of the website from which they originate, the time they are stored on the end device, and a unique identifier. The entity placing cookies on the User's end device and obtaining access to them is the operator of this website.
Cookies are used for the following purposes:
- adapting website content to the User's preferences and optimising use of the website; in particular, they allow the User's device to be recognised and the website to be displayed accordingly, tailored to the User's individual needs;
- creating statistics that help understand how Users use the website, which enables improvements to its structure and content.
Two basic types of cookies are used within the Website: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary files stored on the User's end device until logout, leaving the website, or closing the browser software. Persistent cookies are stored on the User's end device for the period specified in the cookie parameters or until deleted by the User.
The following types of cookies are used within the Website:
- essential cookies, enabling use of services available within the Website, e.g. authentication cookies used for services requiring authentication within the Website;
- security cookies, e.g. used to detect abuse in authentication within the Website;
- performance cookies, enabling collection of information on how the Website's pages are used;
- functional cookies, enabling the User's selected settings to be remembered and the User interface to be personalised, e.g. in respect of the chosen language or region from which the User originates, font size, website appearance, etc.;
- advertising cookies, enabling delivery of advertising content better tailored to Users' interests.
In many cases, software used for browsing websites (a web browser) allows cookies to be stored on the User's end device by default. Users may change cookie settings at any time. These settings may in particular be changed so as to block automatic handling of cookies in the browser settings or to notify the User each time cookies are placed on the User's device. Detailed information on the options and methods for handling cookies is available in the software (web browser) settings.
The Website operator advises that restricting the use of cookies may affect certain functionalities available on the Website's pages.
Cookies placed on the User's end device and used may also be placed by advertisers and partners cooperating with the Website operator.
Further information on cookies is available at www.allaboutcookies.org or in the Help section of your web browser menu.
